The Pin-prick Wonder

   Manoj, all of 27 years is a laboratory assistant in a school. He was born with arched feet and squint in one eye. The arched feet barely allowed him to stand up and he walked on his toes. His legs would criss-cross when he tried to walk and he was unable to stretch them more than 20 degrees. That was not the end of his woes! For no apparent reason, he would sweat profusely on his palms even when the weather was cold! Two surgeries were performed on his leg and feet to enable him stand and walk normally. Kanaka's experience with Sujok is just as magical. More miraculous and intriguing than these cases, is the story of 27-year-old Jayashree. Her problems began when as a 7-year-old little girl she saw a dead body on her way to school. The sight instilled fear in her and her legs became extremely weak. She would limp and fall without any serious cause. Often, she would faint after falling.
